If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
I adopted Pudding in July 2023 from Great Plains SPCA. She is about 4.5 years old and 45lbs. She is very affectionate and very smart, but she can be stubborn at times. She loves destroying squeaky toys and chewing on beef bones. She is extremely food-motivated and has the best pattern recognition I have ever seen. She's very much a curl up on the couch and watch TV type of dog.
She has SEVERE separation anxiety and due to that I will not consider anyone who:
-is regularly not home for more than 4 hours per day (I may consider plans to send her to daycare on a case-by-case basis for an otherwise good match)
-is unwilling to buy an escape-proof kennel (These average between $400-$1200 and I will need proof you have one, she can and will escape a wire kennel)
-lives somewhere with shared walls (she is very vocal when anxious)
-does not have a 6ft+ fence (only applies if you plan to let her off-leash in a fenced area)
