My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What my friends at ACC say about me:

Umi was at the front, standing tall with large eyes, and had been playing with the cat above him, he was curious, almost walked out of the kennel, and leaned in nicely for cheek rubbing. He was calm and relaxed when picked up and set back down. He was very curious about life outside the kennel.

I am looking for a home with a patient person.

I would do best in a home with only adult humans.

Umi interacts with the observer, solicits & appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. We recommend that he go to a home with some cat experience preferred or at least be well counseled in reactivity and mood swings.

A volunteer writes: Umi is a sparkly young cat with so much fun and love to share. When I first met Umi he was stretched on his side in his cubby. I opened the door and he quickly blinked himself awake, stretched his paws, and nuzzled into my hand. We'd only just met and, although he'd just woken up, Umi greeted me like I was just the person he was waiting for. After such a lovely and warm welcome, he showed me his adorable play time moves. Umi loves to roll around on his side like a seal but watching him pounce like a kitty is an adorable sight to behold! As we played, Umi would gleefully leap after his toy but (accidentally?) grab his blanket instead. Shaking his blanket like a little puppy, Umi is silly and fun with a great sense of adventure! Umi is so interested in the world around him that once he had fully woken up, he was ready to go out and explore. He loves to embrace each day and is looking for a family who wants to do the same!
