Kona is a one year old female pit-bull (?) mix. I’m not sure because I haven’t done any dna testing. She was found near a dumpster when she was about 12 weeks old. She’s a very playful, smart and loyal dog. She does require a good bit of exercise and attention, which is one of the reasons I can’t keep her. The other is, she’s not able to be around my cats without supervision and I’m very busy. She doesn’t seem to want to hurt them, but she doesn’t know how powerful she is and I think she is slightly jealous. She’s super quiet. Does not bark at all, unless someone seems to be threatening me or her food, lol. She loves tug of war and belly scratches. I honestly think she’s the ideal dog, if you want a loving guard dog and have real time to invest in her. She loves my kids, 9 and 7, but again, she doesn’t understand her power and size. With training, I think she would do fine. She’s been potty trained since I’ve gotten her. Maybe 3 accidents in a year and that was in the first month.
