My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I'm a luminescent girl who can't wait to be the star of your universe! Being young, I enjoy playtime more than anything (excepting of course snuggling with you), so bring on the puppy toys, tricks and lots of happy exercise and we'll have an absolute blast! I would sure benefit from puppy training classes, too, so I can learn my best manners and shine delight with you for years to come!

Puppies are a lot of work! I will require potty walks every couple of hours throughout the day, lots of patience and enrichment. Please make sure you can accommodate all my needs before coming to meet me!

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS

* Have valid state-issued identification.
* Allowed to have a pet where you live. (To protect you and your pet, get your landlord's or HOA's permission in writing before you adopt).
* Willing and able to provide training, medical attention, and proper care for your new pet.

ADOPTION PROCESS

Berkeley Humane believes in an adoption process that carefully matches the lifestyle and expectations of adopters with the needs of each animal. This helps pets remain in their new homes for the rest of their lives.

Our staff will ask potential adopters about their lifestyle, household, and what they're looking for, in order to suggest appropriate pets or determine a specific animal's suitability.

All of our animals receive medical and behavior evaluations, vaccines, microchip, spay or neuter, felv/fit test for cats (at the discretion of the veterinarian), heartworm preventative, flea and tick preventative, and worm treatment.

Our adoption package also includes pre-adoption counseling, a take-home adoption packet, temporary collar, ID tag, temporary leash or carrier, free post-adoption resources and advice, $250 worth of medical care with VCA veterinary hospitals, a certificate for a free examination at a local veterinary hospital, and discounted pet insurance offer.
