Say hey to Milky Way! Milky Way and her siblings came to us when they were around four months old. We believe Milky Way was born in October of 2023 and would do well with most ages and other animals with proper introduction. According to her foster mom, Milky Way LOVES to play! Her favorite toy is a spring toy and she likes to chase after them, or walk around meowing with one in her mouth. She gets along well with the other cats and the dog in her foster home, but may do okay on her own too. She is not a huge fan of being held / picked up but will lounge with you on the couch once playtime is over! Are you Milky Way's new best friend? She sure hopes so!
All pets adopted from the Humane Society of Freeborn County will be spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, testing and will be microchipped. All of this is included in their adoption fee. Fill out an application to adopt at freeborncountyhs.org
When transitioning your new pet home please allow for at least 4-6 weeks for your pet to adjust to their new home. They will need this time to decompress, and adjust to a new routine and environment. During that time we will provide check ins and counseling to ensure a successful transition.
Please review all basic adoption requirements listed on our website before applying. We take finding the right homes for the animals in our care very seriously. They deserve nothing but the best! Please allow 2-7 days for applications to be processed.
If an animal is listed in foster care, these pets are not at our facility, but are in foster care homes. They are still available for adoption, and meet and greets are done with pre-approved applicants only.
