My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*single male chinchilla
*Approximately 9 months to a year as of April 2024
-Sparky came to us after we were contacted by a shelter that took them in as a humane case. Apparently him and six other chinchillas were dumped in a cage in a dumpster :(. Before they got to them, three passed, and two others had to be euthanized for injuries. Only him and another female were able to be saved and to now find a forever home :(. The female is in foster on pregnancy watch but Sparky can find a new forever home! Sparky is a very sweet boy who is surprisingly friendly considering what he has been through! He comes up to you, and though nervous at first with hands, he does allow petting and handling. He is a good boy. He can go to a home with another male chin to live with, or as a single boy. Chinchillas can live twenty years! We do not recommend them for children because of their care needs and energy level. He must go to a home with a large multi level cage and lots of toys and perches for him to explore! All potential adopters will be fully screened and must fill out an application and come meet the animal they wish to adopt. No animals will ever be shipped. We are a small animal rescue located in western Pennsylvania, within driving distance of cleveland and Pittsburgh. We specialize in cats, guinea pigs, rabbits, and other small creatures. We are here for all that are in desperate need of a home, whether that be from neglect or abandonment.
