My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please contact Jetta (Jetta.elliott@att.net) for more information about this pet.Huge loving great Dane labrador mix, female

Athena is a sweet, excitable girl with a troubled past. She was rescued from a pack of wild dogs. She was the only friendly dog among the pack and the one picked on. She loves people, even strangers, but doesn't particularly like other animals. Athena needs to be the only dog in a home and she also values her personal space when it comes to cats. She doesn't like baths, but she loves to play fetch and cuddle. Athena is spayed and approximately 80lbs about two years old. She is currently with Ozark Homeward Bound animal rescue in Harrison, Arkansas. She is transported to your location through the rescue network transport. There’s no additional fee for the transport service. It is included in the adoption fee.

More about this rescue

We are a small volunteer non-profit rescue group. We receive no public funding. All our rescues are in private volunteer foster homes, and we do not operate a shelter. Our primary goal is to make the "perfect match" between the pet and his or her Forever Family. Our reward is the love of the animals and the gratitude of their new families.
