My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rusty is lovable, well-behaved, and oh so handsome! He is house trained and will even ring a bell to let you know when he needs to go outside. He is crate-trained and has no problem going in his crate for bedtime, when he is left alone, or when he wants to take a nap in peace! He gets along great with other dogs and would do well with older children. Rusty is a sweet guy who is really excited to find his forever family. He's been with us for a long time, simply because there are too many dogs out there looking for homes this year. But he knows his time is coming soon. Rusty is a joy and loves snuggling on the couch, watching TV, belly rubs, long walks, and being outside. Rusty is a well-behaved dog and very eager to learn. He responds well and quick to training and verbal directions. He walks great on a leash, is bell trained, and has mastered sit, down, off, and wait commands. Rusty is great in a variety of social situations. He goes out in public weekly, including eating out, visiting other homes, and walks in public places. He can be shy and may need a warm-up period with people depending on the situation. Rusty loves other dogs. He has frequent dog visitors and they play together well. Rusty loves to run and play outside; a fenced yard would be best for him. He loves to hike; he hikes and walks well with multiple dogs. Rusty would love an owner willing to spend time getting to know him and get him comfortable in a new home environment, and perhaps has a mentor dog to befriend and play with. Rusty is available for adoption; Foster to adopt is also an option where you can date him and see if he is a good fit for your family. Rusty is goofy with a heart of gold, just like a Griswold should be! ADOPTION DONATION: $600.00 All dogs adopted from Motley Zoo come with a leash and Martingale collar. Each dog also receives a "Tour Gear Bag" full of brochures, coupons, and supplies for your new pup!
