Roxy is a very sweet & loving senior lab/beagle mix.
She is at least 11, as she was "at least 3 or 4" when we adopted her.
Great with cats, dogs, and kids, but can get overstimulated and a little rambunctious.
She came from an abusive home prior to her time with us, and has minor food guarding issues. Eating in her crate away from other pets has had no issues.
Crate trained and house trained, but has recently developed minor bladder issues. Small leaks throughout the day, but the vet ran a series of tests and found nothing wrong. We just cannot afford to try all the meds for her.
Leash-trained with a harness, but still has prey impulses.
She is on a prescription diet due to tummy troubles in the past, but the vet could not confirm if this is actually needed and could likely come off it with a new vet's insight.
- Shots were up-to-date Dec '23, but now needs a few to catch up.
- She is on both flea/tick and heartworm preventatives
- Shows signs of allergies, but has not been tested
