My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please contact Kallie Brennan (kallieb@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.young girl ready to play!

GAIL NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!!

Name: Gail         Best Guess for Breed:  Labrador retriever mix

Best Guess for Age:   1 year as of April 2024      SEX:    Female

Approximate Weight:  30 lbs

Gets Along With:   Other dogs! We haven't seen her with kids or cats but she can be tested

Currently Living at:  South Carolina shelter; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get her freedom ride up here!

Gail is Looking For:   Her forever home! This young girl is eagerly looking forward to her new chapter. The one where she gets her own humans for long sniffy walks, romps in parks, and all the adventures her family can dream up. She hasn't seen nearly enough of the world yet and is looking forward to making new pup and people pals along the way. Exploring all the toys to see what she likes best, quality kibble, and a cushy dog bed are on her wish list as well.

At about 30 pounds, she's a great size for snuggling too - and she promises lots of adoring gazes and love and loyalty for all her days. What do you say? Is this sweetie the one you can see by your side?

What My Foster Says About Me:  We will update this once she has arrived in the DC area and spent some time with her foster

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

The adoption process begins when you submit an adoption application either online or at an adoption event. The individual responsible for the dog you are interested in adopting - a position we call the “adoption coordinator” - will then set up a time to discuss your application over the telephone. The adoption coordinator will check your vet reference to make sure all current and past pets were kept up-to-date with their shots and medical care. The adoption coordinator will also set up a home visit with one of our trained volunteers. That individual will come to your home to ensure that it is a safe environment, to confirm that everyone in the home is on board with adopting a dog, and to discuss any other questions you may have about dog adoption!

Our adoption events are held each weekend. A schedule of times and locations can be found at www.luckydoganimalrescue.org.
