Everleigh is a very shy yet sweet dog when she warms up to you. She was surrendered to us with another female dog and does seem to enjoy the company of another dog but is not reliant on it. She is happy to chill at home next to you for a snooze, or go for long walks, or both. When at home, she may paw at you for affection and present her belly for rubs but this will take time so be patient as the pay off is worth it ! She may need your help with reactivity to noise and other dogs/people (although this makes her great at security) and potty training. But like most dogs, is capable of learning with a well preserved and consistent routine.
Everleigh is not a bolter if you open the door and she does not bark when left alone (except for noises as and when they occur). She does not destroy furniture or chew, but she would like to sit on the furniture with you when at home. She seems to favor the crate and understands that is where she sleeps. Interview
We will contact you via email to let you know if the dog is still available and to book a telephone call interview.

Meet the Pet
We'll invite you to meet the dog at a fair, or in some cases at the foster's home. Dogs over 6mos will go to a 1 week adoption trial.

Home Check
When the pup is in your home we'll follow up to see how it's going and volunteer will visit you for a home check
5.
Sign Adoption Contract
If all goes well you'll come to our next adoption fair to FINALIZE! Pay the fee, sign the contract, get your photo!

Dogs Without Borders screens potential applicants to make sure the dog is right fit for their home. We require an adoption application and a home-check. Our adoption fees are $325 for dogs over 1 year, $350 for puppies 6months - 1 year, and $425 for puppies under 6 months. All dogs are spayed/ neutered, vaccinated and microchipped prior to adoption. We also give new owners an ID tag.
