My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello there, I'm Chococat. My past is a tale of resilience and strength. I've seen many faces, each one a chapter in my story. My emerald eyes have seen the world in ways you can't imagine. But now, I'm looking for a new chapter, a place where I can feel safe and loved. I'm not a kitten anymore, but I still have a lot of love to give. I'm a quiet companion, a soft purr in the night, a friend when you need one. If you're looking for a loyal friend, then I'm the cat for you. I promise to be there for you, to listen when you need an ear, and to bring a touch of calm to your life. So, why not take a chance on me? I promise, you won't regret it.

More about this shelter

Little Traverse Bay Humane Society is dedicated to providing animals the tender, loving care and attention they need to become adoptable companions.

From our humble beginning in 1951, Little Traverse Bay Humane Society has grown to meet the needs of homeless dogs and cats. Since moving to our state-of-the-art facility at 1300 West Conway in Harbor Springs, Michigan, in 2001, Little Traverse Bay Humane Society has sterilized more than 10,000 animals owned by community members and has placed more than 5,000 animals into loving homes.

In addition to being an adoption center, Little Traverse Bay Humane Society offers a variety of proactive programs to help shelter animals become adoptable companions including the “Pit Stop Program,” the “Ruff-to-Ready Scholarship Program,” “Spay-it-Fourward,” the “Animals Need to Give Everybody Love (ANGEL) Program,” boarding, grooming, daycare, and a full-service veterinary clinic.
