My name is Arrietty!

Hello! My name is Arrietty and I'm what you might consider a "project" cat. When you first bring me home I will be shy and I will hide. I will need to go to a home with another confident cat so I can learn the ropes. I need a good role model to show me that humans aren't so scary!

I let my foster mom take swipes down my fur every now and then, but for the most part I just do my own thing.

I'm super playful and love to play with toys. Every once in a while I sleep with my foster mom in her bed if she doesn't move or touch me. Eventually I think I'll be more friendly, I just need a good kitty role model to show me the way!

Adopting more than one kitten also reduces the risk of “Single Kitten Syndrome” (also known as Tarzan Syndrome), a symptom of under-socialization during a kitten’s most formative weeks. Kittens who are under-socialized may develop aggressive tendencies toward both other animals and humans as they grow, creating lifelong behavioral issues for owners.
