If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
I adopted Minnie (Female/2 years) at the Garland Animal Shelter and Adoption Center. At the kennel she was ready to go out and play. Completely happy to be outside and took her home.
Minnie has fun outside my yard, enjoys having company as she will snuggle and be protective. The behavioral issues are digging holes around the yard, quite a mess she can make. She does this quick nibble/chomp at random and not sure why. Do not give soft things as she rips apart stuffed toys and bed. Would recommend kennel, raised bed, or dog house. Toy wise I would say any kind of ball, Large Kong toy for treats, and a durable frisbee. Lastly on walks, just have a sturdy leash and should be fine, unless she sees a squirrel.
At their new home, I would like for an experienced adopter to take care of Minnie as she can be a handful, but easier if they know about A Staffordshire Terrier. Will be right by your side when needed. Loves to take walks, persistent in playing fetch, and sit patiently when feeding.
