Although she has recovered beautifully and has no lasting medical impacts, she had to get many injections which has made her cautious around new humans. Fortunately Maple met her best friend Marmalade and has blossomed into a cuddly kitten with his support.
In her foster home, Maple has taken tremendous steps towards opening up and showing her affectionate side. She now naps on her foster mom most days and has earned the nickname—Maple, the shoulder cat. Once she's comfortable, there's nothing she loves more than perching and napping on shoulders, finding solace and comfort in those moments.
Her favorite pastime includes observing her surroundings from a high vantage point, whether it's perched atop a cat tree or watching birds flutter by from the window sill. While she prefers a calm environment, Maple is gradually blossoming, stepping further out of her shell with each passing day. She also enjoys playing wth and grooming Marmalade, and the pair often nap together.
Maple's gentle nature makes her a wonderful companion for both children and other cats. She is untested with dogs and would likely be afriad of those much larger than her.
