My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Microchipped, DOB August 26, 2022

Hi! My name is Sonic. I have a unique personality and never compromise, but I’ll bring a lot of fun and joy to your home! I’m very active and have a lot of energy; I run fast, and climb and jump high, so having a cat tree would be ideal. I love to play active and interactive games. I’m very intelligent as well; I enjoy solving puzzles and playing with smart toys.

When I join your home, I’ll be shy at first, but once I settle in, I’ll follow you everywhere and watch you as you go about your day.

Please note that I’m prone to stress. I’m anxious, and it takes me quite some time to adjust to changes. I’m still heartbroken about leaving my previous home (due to cat allergies), and I pull out my fur to calm down, so I’ll need my daily hairball remedy, Purina calming care, and Feliway spray. You should also know that I might have tummy troubles when I join your home, but I’m a good boy and know how use my litter-box; that said, I will need my Blue Buffalo sensitive stomach food (wet and dry; other brands were causing me stress and stomach issues).

During the day, I love to bask in the sun and let you pet my belly, and I’ll always reward you with my sweet purring and gentle headbutts.

Note from foster parent: Sonic is taking calming medication and his foster parents spray the bedding and his favourite spots around the home with calming pheromone, and his adoptive family should understand and be prepared to give him space and time to adjust. They should also be prepared to play with him a lot, otherwise he can be naughty and cause some mischief (e.g. he can open kitchen cabinets while you're sleeping, so make sure food is secured; also make sure to hide/put aside your plants, because if he's bored and you won't pay attention to him, he'll pull over your plants and show you!). Having a scratching post and a bunch of toys will give him some opportunities to entertain himself, especially small toy mice.
