My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

***NEEDS FUREVER HOME***
Currently in Boise, ID

This sweet, 41-pound, 15 month old pup named REDLY needs a furever home. For the past 4 months, he has been living in a home with adult women, a cat, and chickens, but is now looking for a home that doesn't have as many temptations for an active boy.

REDLY is dog-friendly. Check out the videos. He has high-energy at times and loves running around the yard.

REDLY has been through some formal training and already knows sit, come, and place. He loves human attention and is treat-motivated to learn more.

REDLY loves being brushed, playing with balls and squeaky toys. He will play fetch and chase with his people.

REDLY is house-trained and crate-trained and good left free in the home. He also has been a good passenger in cars.

REDLY has not lived with children, but is friendly with them when he walks by. REDLY seems scared of men that are not introduced to him and has used his mouth inappropriately to let you know about his fear. We are looking for a home where there is someone that can be aware and manage his possible fear. REDLY may also need reminders to not counter surf.

REDLY would be a great pup for anyone willing to reinforce his training with him. He will likely do best with an active family or plenty of space to run around.

Additional adoption info

We require a foster or adoption application to qualify to foster or adopt our animals. We do check your current veterinary reference and landlord approval if renting. The next step is a "meet and greet" with all family members and/or household occupants, and current pets. Upon approval, we offer a "trial adoption" period that allows adopter to make sure of a good fit for both the dog and family. Adoption is final when adoption contract (different from application) is filled out and signed, and adoption fee is paid. Our adoption fees range from $75 - $300 (puppies) currently, but are subject to revision if our veterinary costs rise.
