My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Pip and Squeak, the dynamic duo of adorable chihuahua mixes! These tiny pups may be small, but they have hearts as big as possible. Pip, with his sleek, caramel, and white-colored coat and soulful eyes, is the epitome of charm, while Squeak, with her gorgeous tan fur and perky ears, is the definition of cuteness overload.

Despite their petite stature, Pip and Squeak have boundless energy and love to play and explore. Whether they're chasing after toys or curling up in your lap for snuggles, they're always full of spunk and affection. They adore human companionship and thrive in a loving home where they can receive plenty of attention and TLC.

These two came to us from our friends at All 4's Rescue League in Memphis - they were with a family in a pretty economically challenged area who couldn't afford to keep the puppies given to them. We are of course thrilled they knew what was best for the babies.

Pip and Squeak are the perfect pair for someone looking to add joy and laughter to their life. If you're ready to open your heart and home to these pint-sized bundles of love.

The puppies can be adopted together or separately - all applications will be considered.

PLEASE - Think long and hard before adopting a puppy - consider the lifestyle change this puppy will come with - he cannot be crated for more than 3-4 hours at a time until he's older, puppy proofing your home will be necessary, puppies scratch and nip so if you have small children, can they handle this?? Training will be so important in this puppy's life, do you have the time??

Please consider purchasing this book before adopting.  Perfect Puppy in 7 Days - How to Start Your Puppy Off Right, Sophia Yin, DVM - it is an amazing book that we recommend very highly and have had amazing feedback on.

More about this rescue

PAWS is comprised of a small group of volunteers from New England and Tennessee trying to reduce the euthanization rate (previously 90%) at the Tipton County Animal Control shelter in Brighton, Tennessee. This shelter is forced to euthanize thousands of animals each year due to irresponsible pet owners that do not spay/ neuter their dogs in the area. Millions of dogs in America are euthanized each year due to lack of space and lack of funding to try and find them better homes.

Our mission is to save as many animals as possible, removing them from the shelter, having their veterinary needs met prior to traveling and then finding them loving homes throughout New England. We do this only with the assistance of many people volunteering their time by going to the shelter, transporting the dogs to the vet, fostering dogs who need special care, and arranging for their new and happy homes in this area. Most importantly, we cannot do any of this without those people willing to open their homes and hearts to these lovely creatures.
