Meet Truffle!
This fun-sized friend arrived at HSoP as a stray, and was unfortunately never claimed by an owner. Now he's on the hunt for a perfect adoptive home!
Since arriving in our care, Truffle has been as sweet as his name suggests. He absolutely adores people and would probably be loved on 24/7 if he could control it. So far, Truffle has liked everyone he's come across! Including the vets at Animal Clinic, who gave him his appropriately sweet name.
When he first arrived at the shelter, Truffle had a large lump on one side of his face. A trip to the vet revealed that this was an infected abscess with its origins unknown. Our amazing vets drained and cleaned his wound, and set Truffle on a quick road to recovery! You may notice some scarring across Truffle's face. We don't know what might have caused this, but whatever it was, it didn't deter him from being a total sweetheart.
Truffle may be small, but he has a BIG voice. Not only is his voice big, it's also incredibly unique! When you first hear Truffle bay, you might ask yourself, "Does a family of wild geese live around here?". Our staff have come to adore his unique singing voice, which generally puts the other howls in the dog kennel to shame.
We don't know how Truffle might behave around cats or other dogs. He'll be required to meet any dogs in the home prior to adoption, and we offer a seven day foster period to help ensure a good fit. Truffle is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and will be microchipped with his new owner's information before leaving the shelter.
