My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Sticky Rice, a feline friend who is the perfect blend of sweet and shy. She`s a cat who values her independence, but also cherishes those quiet moments of companionship. Sticky Rice is not your typical social butterfly; she`s more of an introverted soul who prefers to observe from the sidelines. However, once she warms up to you, she`ll show you a love that is as rich and comforting as her namesake. Sticky Rice is a unique cat with a personality that shines. She may need a little extra time to adjust, but once she does, she will fill your life with joy and serenity. Adopt Sticky Rice and experience the unique bond that only a pet like her can provide. She`s waiting to share her quiet love and independent spirit with a family who can appreciate her for who she is.

More about this shelter

We are an open admissions shelter, meaning we take in homeless animals regardless of age, breed, health, temperament or lack of space. On average, we take in about 5,500 stray, surrendered and abandoned animals per year including dogs, cats, small mammals, birds and reptiles. We provide adoption services to find safe, happy homes for these pets; and also provide low-cost vaccination and microchip clinics to help safeguard them against illness or being lost forever.
