My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Peanut and Scruffy, a dynamic duo of delight! These two tiny tails are inseparable best friends, sharing a bond that's as strong as their love for cuddles and treats.

Peanut, the shy one of the pair, is as timid as a mouse but twice as sweet. With his delicate demeanor and gentle disposition, he melts hearts with just a wag of his tail. Despite his small stature, Peanut's loyalty to his best friend Scruffy knows no bounds.

Scuffy, on the other hand, may be petite, but his personality shines bright like a star. Fearless and full of zest, hes always by Peanut's side, offering comfort and companionship whenever needed. Together, they navigate the big world around them, finding courage in each other's presence.

Their co-dependent relationship is evident in every wag of their tails and every snuggle shared. Whether they're exploring new adventures or simply lounging in the sun, Peanut and Scruffy prove that the best things come in small packages—and that true friendship knows no size.

Peanut is the white and tan male; Scruffy is the golden blonde male.

These two cuties were dumped , and after days of people trying to get them, one of them spent about an hour sitting on the side of the street with them and coaxing them to come to them..  Finally they came to her, and  she got them in a crate, took them home, bathed and feed them and have had them since.

They are both super sweet and are great little dogs.  They are playful and are healthy.. Scruffy weighs about 15 lbs and Peanut weighs 13 lbs

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Thank you for adopting and not buying!!! Every week hundreds of highly adoptabledogs are put to death by local shelters. Most people would be amazed at the purebred and beautiful dogs available, if they walked into their neighborhood shelter.

Rescue organizations, like mine, work hard to save as many as we possibly can but is a never ending process with breeders and Puppy Mills selling unhealthy animals to the public. If you EVER saw a puppy mill you would NEVER buy again!

All of my dogs are neutered or spayed, vet checked, completely vaccinated, wormed, groomed and checked for heart worms. They are all are current on Heart worm medicine, flea, and tick medications. They are all microchipped as well.

Adoption fee is $300 to $350 (older "friends' can be less, please inquire. Puppies are $350 - Besides fully vetting all dogs, some of of the dogs I rescue, 1 in 5 I rescue have heart worms which is very expensive to treat. I also take in dogs who need surgeries and are close to death.

More about this rescue

About us: Cody was the first pet I owned as an adult. He was a Shih Tzu that I bought unknowingly, from a Puppy Mill. He fought for his life and barely survived, suffering for the first few months of his life. From then on I was stirred by a ferocious passion to save as many dogs as I could through networking with other rescue groups and saving the ones I could off of cold streets and unwanted in shelters. Cody did not live a very long life due to a weakened body, but I was able to love on him for eight good years! He will always be loved and forever remembered. With over 400 dogs rescued so far, we ARE making a difference!!
Thank you for visiting and considering a rescue........................
