We purchased Melvin from a breeder in Michigan in 2017. We brought him home when he was 8 weeks old. At the time, we had two other dogs and they did not have any issues at all. As time went on, our eldest dog died from cancer and our cockapoo also passed as he was hit by a car. The dog dynamics/hierarchy changed in the home and Melvin, being a super sensitive boy, seemed to be unsure of his place in the family. Since that time, we have added two additional dogs, male Cavapoo and a female Goldendoodle. Over the past year or so, he has gradually become aggressive with both dogs. Initially it was with the male dog and over the past week, aggression with the female as well.
Melvin is super sweet, really well behaved and generally a giant teddy bear. We don't know what happened with him; however it has become clear that he needs to be the only animal in a home. Anyone would be lucky to have him as a solo pet in their family.
