James is a great, if not perfect, family pet...just not for our family. He is a lap dog that wants and deserves to be petted and cuddled all day, and we are an active family that cannot give him the attention he deserves. I (dad) am a small business owner, and all my time is dedicated to 2 active sons, running a business, and a high-anxiety Doberman. We hate to let James go, but we do not have family (I am from out of state) that can take him in. Leaving such a sweet dog crated or ignored is not fair. He's an old guy (4/19/2010) but has been with us his entire life, has never had one minor health problem, and has only been seen by one vet (Animal Advocates of Troy). He has never missed any appointments.
He is well-trained, very low maintenance (goes #1 and #2 within 5 minutes of his am and pm walk), and happy playing or lounging so long as you're showing him love.
