My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Casey came to the SPCA in March of this year through our Cruelty Division along with 12 other cats. Upon seizure it was obvious that she had a serious issue that had gone untreated for an extended period. Upon arrival to the shelter a basic exam was given and it was determined she had either a prolapsed rectum or a prolapsed uterus. She was immediately taken to Enchanted Mountain Urgent Care where she was sedated and they replaced her rectum and applied a stay suture in an attempt to prevent a prolapse from reoccurring. Unfortunately, a prolapse happened 3 days later. The next day a Colopexy was performed. A Colopexy is when the rectum is attached to the abdomen wall with an internal suture (stitch). She was also spayed at this time. We are now 7 weeks post operation with no issues. She has been cleared for adoption by our Veterinarian. We currently offer a soft food option with a dry food diet. Casey is a shy but very affectionate. She is not a fan of being held or picked up. But does enjoy rubbing on your legs and lots of petting and making her biscuits while this occurs. Feel free to stop in and meet this petite little lady anytime between 12-4pm 7 days week. Casey hopes to see you soon!
