My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

NAME: Finley (male)

BREED & COLOR: Domestic medium/long hair, orange tabby
*APPROX*. BIRTH DATE:  01/25/2023

THIS CAT IS LOCATED IN CENTRAL ARKANSAS

*THIS CAT IS NOT HYPOALERGENIC*

LITTER BOX TRAINED:  Yes

ADOPTION INCLUDES:  All vaccinations, dewormed, 30-day topical de-flea, FIV/Felv test, spay/neuter, rabies vaccs, microchip, all health records to date.

GETS ALONG WITH OTHER CATS/DOGS?  Finley is acclimated to cat friendly cats but has not met any cat friendly dogs.  *SLOW*, gradual introductions are always needed when meeting new friends!

CHILDREN? He is fine with OLDER (over 12) well-mannered children who know how to respect pets.

BIO: Finley came to rescue from a lady who was feeding some strays in her area.  Finley was a little shy at first, having to fend for himself outside and always having to be on guard. After knowing he was safe, he became more outgoing and friendly, but never a lush.
Finley is a tad “mouthy” (places his mouth on your hand but doesn’t break the skin) when he gets enough petting or with sudden (scares him) moves. This is how he communicates with his people.  He loves to play with his toys, enjoys the cat tree and watching birds outside.
Finley follows his foster mom from room to room so she won’t get lost. He’s a good guide, and takes his duties seriously, so you won’t find him in a lap at all, because he’s always ready to go. He rubs against his foster mom and enjoys brief pets.

Finley needs to take prednisone twice a week for mild asthma and IBS, however, this is not considered as "special needs".

OUT OF STATE/OUT OF AREA?  We do not arrange transport or ship. Please be willing and able to personally acquire this pet.

More about this rescue

CLAWS is an incorporated 501(c)3 non-profit organization, operated 100% by volunteers with 30+ years of collective experience.
