Meet Cassanova!

Cassanova and his 4 siblings and mom were pulled from a high kill shelter when the puppies were only a few days old. They were then raised in a well run shelter for the first three months of their lives in Texas until we tagged them and transported them to CT. Now they are in foster homes learning and embracing all that is home life. They are being crate and potty trained and are so smart and ready and eager to learn more.

Cassanova will do great with another dog in the house! He immediately perks up when he sees another dog in any situation, it is the cutest thing. He loves to play and he will follow suit of his older companion. He is extremely trainable and will bond extremely fast with his human. He's been doing so great in his forever home, and we just know he will be an incredible addition to any family situation. We are nervous because of his all black look, that he will be overlooked. Please don't let that happen! His ears are just one reason why you should fall head over heels in love with this silly boy.

Cassanova is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and dewormed. We are completely unsure of his breed as the litter are all different from one another, Shepherd, Terrier, Lab, Greyhound, we just can't say!

Submit Application

We do not answer to inquiries, the only way to be considered for adoption is to put an application in on our website.

Approve Application

You will only be contacted if you were chosen to adopt. We get back to you within 2-4 days.

3.
Meet the Pet

Schedule a meeting to sign papers and pay fees. You are expected to take home the dog at the meeting if all goes well!

All of our pets are in foster homes but we will have the occasional adoption event. We are known to understand and have the knowledge of each pet in extent so that all applicants are confident to commit to a certain pet and meet/adopt them at their adoption meeting!

More about this rescue

Outrider Dogs Rescue was established in 2019 as a foster based non profit dog rescue. Our mission is to find homes for abandoned and neglected dogs regardless of the age, breed, or temperament. We are a group of volunteers who spend their free time fostering, transporting, feeding, medicating, entertaining, training and loving dogs until a permanent family can be found. We specialize in helping pregnant or new moms that are dumped off in shelters or found roaming the streets, raise their litter, find forever homes, all whilst nourishing the mom, spaying her and finding her an adoptive home. In 2021 we started rescuing cats of all ages and breeds and will continue doing so as long as we are operating.
