One-year-old Boone brings an abundance of joy to his foster home! Brimful of loving affection, this dramatically dappled 37-pound dog is supremely sweet with a wonderful, playful disposition. He loves snuggling and cuddling with his fosters, resting his head on them, rolling over for belly rubs and then prancing proudly about. Intelligent and well mannered, he also loves playing with other dogs and going for walks, walking extremely well on a leash, and would likely make an ideal running partner if given some training. Fond of Kong tough toys, stuffies and squeakies, he likes and accepts all treats gently, is motivated by food, toys and love, and currently knows “sit,” “down” and “off.” Crate trained and almost fully house-trained to a doggy door, Boone’s ideal home is an affectionate and active one, perhaps with another canine companion, that will complete his training, including his commands, and keep him mentally and physically fulfilled fur-ever! Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application received in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails).
If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives! A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.
The adoption fee for this pet is $375. Our adoption fee covers the following:
Spay/neuter
Microchip
DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all DAPP boosters after adoption.
Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for any rabies vaccinations after adoption.

Our adoption process is:
1. Fill out our Adoption Application online. We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet.
2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting. Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member!
