Leo is a trim and sleek 10 lbs bundle of cuteness, with his birthday falling on July 11, 2021. His unique blend of dachshund and chihuahua heritage gives him an irresistible charm that's sure to capture your heart.
**Background:**
Leo's journey to finding his forever home began in a commercial breeding facility, where he didn't experience the love and care a pet deserves. Now, he's just learning what being a pet is all about, and he's ready to embrace the joys of companionship and love.
**Health Status:**
Leo has been neutered, undergone dental care, and is up-to-date on all his vaccines. He has also been heartworm checked, ensuring he's in tip-top shape to join his forever family.
**Personality:**
Leo may be terribly skittish and fearful of people initially, but underneath that timid exterior lies a heart of gold just waiting to shine. While he may take some time to warm up and trust, Leo is slowly but surely coming out of his shell with patience and understanding. He'll need plenty of time and love to build that precious bond.

Approved adopters are required to travel to Omaha, NE to pick up their newly adopted dog. We do not arrange transport, or fly our rescue dogs without a "pet nanny". All of our dogs that come from a commercial breeding facility require a securely fenced yard AND a resident companion dog, unless the dog's bio states otherwise. Wag N Train Terrier Rescue was formed in April 2010 to provide tender loving care for terriers in need. We are a small, all-volunteer organization made up of uniquely talented individuals who all love dogs. Several of us are certified pet dog trainers and we hold weekly training sessions for the dogs in our foster care. In addition, we also teach dog training classes to the general public and offer a weekly small dog play group for supervised socialization opportunities.
