My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ready for your perfect companion? Look no further, Everest is your girl!

Everest is approximately 3 years old but has a soul of a wise old lady. She is a calm, couch potato when you want her to be, but given the opportunity she will zoom and chase her stuffy for hours. Ball is life!

She is perfectly social with other dogs and cats, and is very well adjusted in public. She would thrive in a house where she would have a playful dog friend or two. She is wonderful on the leash, just happy to sniff and stroll next to you, she would make a fantastic hiking partner! She is all kinds of funny, snuggly, goofy, and cute as a button too.

Evvie loves kids, is crate trained, house trained, knows sit, touch and down and would love someone to teach her more cool things.

She has gone from a completely emaciated 29lbs to a healthy 52lb! She would need to put on a few more pounds before she is at her ideal weight, but would be more than willing to steal all the snacks from you.

She is spayed, microchipped, UTD on vaccines and hw prevention!

Additional adoption info

Peace Love and Paws Rescue is an all-volunteer, non-profit, animal welfare organization dedicated to the rescue and placement of stray, neglected and abused animals. Peace Love and Paws Rescue is completely funded through fundraising efforts and public donations. All of our pets are cared for by foster homes and receive complete medical care, which includes worming, vaccinations, spaying/neutering and microchipping prior to their adoption.

This questionnaire is designed to help Peace Love and Paws Rescue determine if a specific dog is the right match for you and your household. All adopting and fostering parties are required to complete this form prior to adoption. Peace Love and Paws Rescue reserves the right to deny any adoption or fostering based on answers to this questionnaire and/or interviews prior to adoptions and placing foster homes!

More about this rescue

We are three passionate, animal loving dog moms who met through various volunteer efforts at local rescues in the Detroit area. We continued talking outside of volunteering and quickly came to realize that we all had similar goals, to help as many animals in need that we possibly could. In the Detroit area, there are so many animals who need homes, medical attention, and love.

We decided that we wanted to be able to do more to help these animals. We are raising funds through selling merchandise, fundraising, donations, and supporting local community events. All funds raised will be used to establish a nonprofit status, fund the medical needs of local dogs, and find shelter animals their furever home.

Follow us on our journey to create a rescue that provides animals the love and care they need while they find their home. We will post updates on our social media of the dogs we are able to help and how your support made a difference.
