My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Darla, a sweet and gentle soul waiting for her forever home to shower with love and affection! Despite feeling a bit nervous in the shelter environment, Darla's heart is full of love, and she eagerly seeks attention from her human companions.

Darla is a quick learner and is working on building her confidence, especially when it comes to playing with other pups. She's making great progress and is starting to enjoy the company of her furry friends. Additionally, Darla is quite tidy and rarely has accidents in her kennel, showing her commitment to good manners.

With her sweet nature and willingness to learn, Darla would thrive in a loving home where she can continue to blossom and become the best furry friend anyone could ask for. If you're looking for a loyal and affectionate companion, Darla is ready to steal your heart and fill your days with joy and companionship. Come meet Darla today and make her dream of a forever home a reality!

Stop in and meet her cute self in person during our adoption hours. For more information, email bloomingdale@ahconnects.org or call us at 847-697-2880 x: 90, and the staff will be happy to help you.

Our dogs and puppies go home spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested (7 months and over), and up to date on core vaccines, heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives. Their adoption also includes a free-vet exam at one of our participating veterinarians.
