My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This animal is NOT available through Brother Wolf Animal Rescue. This is a courtesy listing only, so you will need to contact the current owner for more information or to adopt.

PLEASE CONTACT THE OWNER: text: (828) 989-7145 or email: andarielscherzer@gmail.com

Mystic is the most precious and resilient hedgehog you'll ever meet!
Due to circumstances in her past, Mystic required a partial leg amputation and isn't used to handling. That being said, she's had an amazing recovery and is warming up to people very quickly. Her favorite activities are foraging for kibble + insects and running (that's right, she still has nightly marathons on her wheel, you can't even tell she's had surgery)! Such a sweet girl deserves an incredible home where she can burrow, run, and forage like hedgehog ought too, preferably with an owner who understands the nuances of hedgehog care. It's hard to overstate just how lovely and lively this girl is! Even if you don't have much hedgehog experience, still reach out, a little can go long way when you're ready to provide a lot of care!

We have all adopters to meet an animal at the shelter or in foster before taking them home. Dog adoptions currently require an appointment.

3.

Meet with our available animals and speak with one of our experienced adoption counselors. You may visit with more than one animal.

4.

Sign Adoption Contract

Once you have met your perfect match, most of our animals are ready to go home the same day! Most of our animals do have an adoption fee.

Additional adoption info

Brother Wolf Animal Rescue works to remove barriers in the adoption process and work collaboratively with our adopters. We ask that all adopters fill out our online adoption survey so we can learn more about you and help to make the perfect match. You can fill out the survey on our website: www.bwar.org/adopt.

Most of our animals are ready to go home with you the same day you meet them.

All animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines.

Adoption fees are refundable within two weeks from the date of adoption if the animal is returned.

Adopters are required to be at least 18 years of age.

Adoptions end at the Adoption Center’s scheduled closing time – 6pm Tuesday to Saturday.
