***Sadly, we don't have a home or foster for Kenai yet, please continue to share! We know there's someone out there for him!***
We URGENTLY need an adopter of foster home for Kenai! Please reach out if you are interested in learning more or share to help in our efforts to save him!
Kenai is currently located at a high-kill-shelter nearby that is overpopulated (caring for over 200 dogs), understaffed (working round the clock), and running out of resources (many of the dogs are in popup crates in halls). Though he is listed as 2 years old, we believe he is younger. He's a big boy at 65pds but walks pretty well on a leash. Kenai is stunningly beautiful, even more so in-person, with a velvet like so soft, rich with color coat and eyes that just melt you. He is also super sweet, grabbing everyone attention not just for his looks, but for his charm, and silly ways. He is a little jumpy but is smart, a quick learning and very food motivated:) He's willing/wanting to please which will make him a great student! Kenai is a novelty dog at the shelter, meaning they have him as part of the socialization team and in playgroups with other dogs where he is doing extremely well, even taking cues from the other dogs, very impressive especially given his likely age and where he spends his day (mostly alone in a run, side by side, with so many other homeless animals who are all under so much stress). Kenai is such a good boy, even volunteers are allowed to walk him and they LOVE to do so. We would all LOVE to see this big, goofy, playful, sweet, smart, silly guy, Kenai in a home (forever or foster) a safe place, where he can be loved and love in turn, he has lots of it to give! Please help save Kenai, reach out soon!
