My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Paisley is 7.5 years old and was recently surrendered by her owner who adopted her from SPR as a puppy. Paisley would do well in a family with teenagers and up. She absolutely LOVES playing fetch and tug of war. Paisley is potty trained and goes in her crate easily with a treat. She does pretty well walking on a leash but is working on not pulling as much. This sweet girl is affectionate and does not want to leave your side. She loves sleeping at the foot of the bed or on the floor next to your bed on a blanket. Paisley knows "sit", "shake", and "lay down" and is very food motivated. Paisley would do well with a proper and calm introduction to other dogs to feel comfortable in new surroundings. Paisley has done well with the 2 other dogs in the home and mostly wants to keep to herself. Paisley appears to have a little bit of an issue with her eye sight with small treats and toys. She isn't quite ready for adoption but will be real soon! She can start meeting people though! If you want to schedule a meet and greet, fill out an application at SandiPaws.org.

Additional adoption info

A successful adoption depends on the selection of the right pet for your household and your understanding of your responsibility of adopting a rescued animal. Our adoption procedures have been designed to make sure all rescued Sandi Paws pets are placed in an appropriate, loving forever home, and to make sure all adopters find the right fit for their family. Prior to adoption, all dogs and cats will be given all age-appropriate vaccinations, including rabies, kennel cough, parvo and distemper, spaying/neutering, intestinal deworming, heartworm testing/treatment, microchipping, and monthly heartworm medication and flea prevention.

Note: We will adopt pets outside of Wisconsin if we can do necessary background and reference checks and the adopters agree to provide necessary follow up information. Also, the adopting family must agree to travel to pick up the pet and agree to transport them back to Wisconsin if they need to be returned at any time.
