OJ is a handsome fun loving 5 year old GSD. I know both of this parents. I currently own his father who is 10 years old. We are not breeders, but 5 years ago, I purposely had one liter of puppies. All of his liter mates are happily living with friends and family. He does have papers, as do his parents. He loves kids, as we have 4. He is good with our two other dogs, who are older, but he has not been walked around town very much. We live in the country on 40 acres, and he spends most of his time outside in a 2 acre fenced in yard. All of my dogs are treated well, and used to spend a lot of time in the house, but lately, have not. The old routine was great and he loved it. I would let them out in the morning, and they would spend most of the day outside. They could access my garage or a dog house if they needed shelter from the weather. We would let them in during the evening hours, and they always slept inside. After we had our last child, we had to move the dogs outside mostly, which I'm sure they did not like. Recently, our careers have required significant travel, and that was kinda the last straw. OJ has started escaping lately, and he's VERY good at it. I feel he would be much happier in a home that was able to spend more time with him, and that includes some inside bonding time. I've never done this before, it does make me feel a little sad, but I know it is the right choice for him. Please reach out with any questions or interest.

More about this rescue

Thank you for considering adopting a GSRA dog. We love that you are exploring rescuing a GSD. We firmly believe that the adoption of a dog is not one to be taken lightly. Because of this belief, our adoption process is what some would described as lengthy and can be emotional. If you are looking to take a dog home "tomorrow", unfortunately our organization is not for you.
