My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Leo Starbuck!  Oh please…this handsome cat you have to know is 100% full-blooded tomcat. Originally discovered and taken in as a stray initially and Leo Starbuck was not a happy camper to have his freedom outdoors crimped and altered.  As soon as he was altered, he began to relax.  It took a few weeks to gain his trust and for him to allow his foster mom to scratch his head and his back.  He is not quite a lap cat just yet, but he does jump onto the ottoman and snuggles next to his foster, rolling over to entice more scratches!  Leo is still very timid, but he has really started to enjoy playing, especially with the wand toy.  He destroys toy mice and chases balls throughout his cat room.  He is still very cautious but he very much enjoys playing.  Leo may not do well with other cats, at least not right away.  It will take a patient owner to acclimate him to their home and/or other pets.  Leo is a beautiful boy with gorgeous markings.  He is all boy; solid muscle.  This one-and-a-half year old deserves to find his forever home and new loving owner.  Do you have the patience to gain Leo’s trust, and to pull out the loving kitty that is in him?  Please email ccrnewengland@gmail.com

Our vetting is extensive: Spay, rabies, FIV vaccine, FIV tested and negative, fecal and dewormings and a Drontal  and microchipped.

PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.

More about this rescue

We are a group of dedicated rescue people who want to save as many dogs and cats from the local shelters before they are euthanized. On the average....there are only 1 out of 10 animals that get adopted from a shelter. We are dedicated to helping increase pet adoptions by offering a shelter animal a foster home to go to while awaiting an adoptive family to find them on our Petfinder website. Won't you please adopt a shelter animal? Or won't you please help us foster a shelter animal while we are looking for their perfect home? What a gift you can give a dog or cat by giving them a place to feel safe and secure....a forever home or a foster home. Won't you help us at Critter Companion Rescue give them a chance to have a life?
