My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweetie - a dog whose name choose her!
Sweetie is graced with a gentle nature and lovely manners; she has wisdom of years yet possessing an undying youthful exuberance. This distinguished pup delights in every moment with her endearing quirks that bring joy to all who encounter her. A swift runner, she dashes along trails with the agility of her younger counterparts. Yet, beneath her puppylike curiosity and spirited facade lies a gentle soul, ever eager to curl up in affectionate embraces.

**Ideal Home:**
- Sweetie wants to have her eyes on her beloved 24hrs a day, therefore she is in search of someone who's mostly retired, works from home or will take her on a work adventure with them.
- Sweetie is a snuggler! Her ideal companion will embrace sofa time together.
-Sweetie loves everyone she meets, she's happily lived with dogs and cats.
-Sweetie has two speeds; Full prance ahead or fast asleep. She loves time outdoors, being on the trails meeting people and dogs alike.

**Training and Enrichment:**
-Sweetie is a quick learner given the chance! She does a very polite & quick 'sit' and is eager to learn more!
-The mischievous twinkle in her eye is watching your kitchen counter! A sneak attack quicker than the blink of an eye and she'll have your lunch right off your plate.

**Safety First:**
-Sweetie loves a good game of chase and those Deer's are hard to catch! Even her best recall is challenged when there's a white tail in view, therefore her owner must be extra vigilant when sweetie is off leash.

Ready for the next beautiful chapter of your life to be full of fun & laughter with a sweet companion by your side? Sweetie is currently in foster awaited her forever love to whip her off to the next great adventure!

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
