My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

At just around a year old, Hank is filled with an abundance of confidence and playful kitten energy.  Hank loves exploring, chasing wand toys and the attention of volunteer caregivers at Animal Advocates. He loves to be brushed and held.  Hank would love to have a family who can provide him with outlets for all of his energy.  His antics delight volunteers and are sure to bring joy to any home.

Hank has distinct black/brown marble tabby fur. His birthday is approximated in April 2023.  Following the discovery and removal of a blockage, Hank eats a prescription food to maintain a healthy urinary track. An adoption team member would be happy to discuss any questions you may have about his needs.  He has tested negative for Felv/FIV, up-to-date on vaccinations, treated for fleas/dewormed as well as neutered and microchipped. He lives comfortably with other cats at the rescue.

If you are interested in meeting a cat, the first step is to complete an online application located at www.animaladvocates.net (under the "Adopt" menu). Thank you for considering a rescue cat from Animal Advocates!

Additional adoption info

Adoption Guidelines:
- Before scheduling a meet-and-greet with one of our adoptable cats or dogs, you must complete an application and interview with an adoption team member.
- You must be 21 years or older.
- All animals in your home must be up-to-date on vaccinations and spayed / neutered.
- If you rent, we will need a copy of your lease stating the landlord permits pets along with the landlord’s contact information.
- We do not place animals as gifts for others.
- Adopted animals must be kept as indoor companions.
- We reserve the right to perform a home visit.

We aim to provide high quality care for the well-being of rescued cats and dogs until they are placed in forever homes. All animals are regularly vet checked, fully vaccinated, spayed / neutered and microchipped. They are routinely treated for fleas and worms as well as any medical issues.

Except for a limited number of cats fostered at our headquarters, our adoptable animals are cared for in loving volunteer foster homes. We get to know the pets’ personalities and needs very well, striving to make the best possible match for both animals and adopters.
