My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

# 🐾 Hello, I'm Rudy! 🐾

Hi there! My name is Rudy, and I'm a 5-month-old Jindo boy with a snowy white coat. I'm a healthy 15 kg and stand 47 cm tall. My story starts in Suwon, Korea, where I was born under the care of a rescue team that saved my mom and siblings from a kill shelter.

## Getting to Know Me 🐕
I'm a bit on the shy side, but I love treats, and they're the way to my heart. Once we're friends, I'll show you my belly as a sign of trust. I'm great with kids under 13 and enjoy gentle pets from those I've bonded with.

## My Social Life 🐾
I'm friendly with dogs my size, but I can be a little nervous around bigger, more energetic pups. I'm curious about cats and birds, but I'll always follow your lead. I'm not one for roughhousing with other dogs, especially when toys or snacks are involved, so I'll need a guardian who understands my need for careful introductions.

## My Daily Routine 🌞
I have an average energy level, love outdoor fun, and appreciate rest time at home. I'm still learning the ropes of leash walking and might need a pause if I get startled. Loud noises can scare me, so I might try to find a safe spot, but I'm learning to be brave.

## My Manners and Training 🎓
I'm a good boy in the kennel and working on perfecting my potty habits. I'm a food lover, which makes training a breeze. I know some basics, like sitting and lying down before I hop into my kennel. I'm not the stubborn type, and I respond well to gentle guidance.

## A Little More About My Personality 💭
I'm a lover, not a fighter. I prefer to avoid conflict and will retreat if I feel threatened. I'm a bit shy, so it might take me a little time to warm up to new friends, but once I do, I'm all about love and kisses. I'm mesmerized by yummy smells and need a bit of patience when it comes to learning about the world around me.

## My Dream Home 🏡
I'm looking for a patient and loving family who can help me grow into the confident and happy dog I know I can be. If you have a calm environment and are willing to kindly guide me, I promise to be your loyal companion for life.

More about this rescue

Chenny's Happy Tails Rescue Canada is a not-for-profit group(Corporate name: 12023318 CANADA FOUNDATION) registered in Canada, based in Toronto, Canada.

We are against the slaughter and consumption of dogs in Korea.
In Korea, there are many dogs that are kept in overcrowded cages in dog-meat facilities. They are sent to the market after being tortured to death. Although the consumption of dog meat is increasingly controversial and the vast majority of younger generations do not believe in dog meat, there are still many dogs that need to be rescued from farms and streets on which they have been abandoned/mistreated by humans.

We are committed to finding forever homes for dogs in Canada.
Chenny's Happy Tails Korea rescues and rehabilitates dogs to make them ready to be adopted.
Chenny's Happy Tails Canada works on finding the best adopter for each dog who can provide them a forever loving home and reliable care.
