My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

A personality so legendary, we needed to split their full name up into two cats -- Mickey and Jagger!

This rock 'n' roll combo is less rock and more roly poly, but they are full of classic hits ready to fill any hour of the day with satisfaction! Mickey is a bit more shy and nervous than his heftier brother Jagger, but once they get over their initial stage fright in an unfamiliar venue both kitties have an extremely friendly and social demeanor, and they aren't afraid to seek out attention from familiar and new human friends! They mostly spend the majority of their days cosplaying as loaves, but have been known to chase each other around for a game of tag when they aren't seeking out those cuddles. Their journey to PAWS was the result of a change at home, with a family member moving in that was allergic to them. They have previously lived with and/or had exposure to dogs and kids, and didn't like it, so they'd prefer to find an adult-only home as your only pets. Mickey and Jagger are doing their best dealing with the stress from how literally we took their singing of "Gimme Shelter", and while they are settling in and quickly winning fans on the volunteer team, a home is where they truly want to be.

Mickey (black) and Jagger (grey tabby) both come with their own seperate medical needs, so their adopters should be prepared to immediately follow-up with their own full service vet while working through them. Mickey has a history of constipation, so we have him on a twice daily med to assist with that, which should be continued until your own vet can either recommend the same or any new treatments. Jagger needs dental work ASAP, with a cleaning and very likely extractions. Unfortunately, due to his current weight (30lbs), he needs to lose A LOT of that, like half of it, in order to safely receive that surgery. We have him on a special diet to help out, and will need his new family to continue that so he can be as happy and healthy as he deserves.
