Introducing Berry, the dynamic feline duo's resident explorer and cuddle enthusiast! Born in April 2023, this one-year-old bundle of joy is overflowing with curiosity and wonder, eager to embark on new adventures alongside his equally charming brother, Coconut.

Berry is a shining example of feline intelligence, effortlessly solving puzzles and navigating his surroundings with grace and poise. His handsome appearance only adds to his allure, with sleek fur and mesmerizing eyes that captivate all who meet him. But don't let his dashing looks fool you—Berry's true magic lies in his playful spirit and boundless affection.

Whether he's chasing after toys or curling up in your lap for a cozy cuddle session, Berry's love knows no bounds. He's the perfect mix of adventurous and affectionate, always ready to embark on new escapades while never forgetting to show his humans some extra TLC.

But what truly sets Berry apart is his unbreakable bond with his brother, Coconut. These two inseparable companions share a special connection that's as heartwarming as it is adorable. Together, they make the ultimate dynamic duo, spreading love and joy wherever they go.

If you're searching for a pair of furry friends who embody the very best qualities of feline companionship—intelligence, playfulness, and unwavering affection—look no further than Berry and Coconut. Come meet these delightful brothers today and discover the joy of double the love!

Additional adoption info

1) Adoptions are BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. The first step is to email us at AHcatadoption@gmail.com. Be sure to include your full name, age, address, and phone number. We will respond as soon as possible to answer your questions and schedule an appointment to visit our shelter. If you have already submitted an inquiry through Adopt-a-Pet or Petfinder about a particular cat, there is no need to send a separate email.
2) During your appointment, you will complete a questionnaire and work with an adoption coordinator to find the cat that is right for you. This process may involve meeting with numerous cats, or even making more than one visit to Animal House. You and your new cat will live together for a lifetime, so this step is important.
3) Before adoption, we ensure that your cat has been spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated.

More about this shelter

Animal House Cat Rescue and Adoption Center is a private, non-profit, “no-kill” organization dedicated to providing the homeless, abandoned cats and kittens of St. Louis with a better life. We are committed to maintaining an adoption center that provides a safe, healthy and enriching environment, and our goal is a solid and lasting adoption for every cat and kitten in our care.

Animal House opened in 2010 when the City of St. Louis closed its municipal shelter and ended a number of services for stray animals. Not only did the 75 cats residing in their shelter need a place to go, the St. Louis community needed services for abandoned, homeless cats. Animal House was born out of that need. Today we house 200-250 cats and kittens at any given time.

The cats and kittens at Animal House are rescued from the streets of our community and often come from challenging circumstances that include neglect, abandonment, or injury. We have created a safe place where cats in need find shelter, medical and nutritional support, individualized socialization and interaction, enrichment, lots of love, and the opportunity to connect with a loving, lifelong family. We impose no time limit on this process, giving each cat or kitten the time they need. We emphasize matchmaking throughout our adoption process to ensure the best possible match.
