Hi there, my name is Tawny, and I'm an affectionate and gentle female pup with a lot of love to give! Even though I'm still just a youngster, I already have so much love and energy packed into my little body. I am friendly, and I am sure that I will provide you with a lifetime of happiness. I'm a small girl, still under ten pounds, and I may not get much larger at all, so I need a home without larger pets and small children who may accidentally hurt me. I also need a securely fenced yard and owners who have experience with very small dogs and keeping them safe. I can't wait to find a family of my own to shower with love and wet kisses. My previous owner died and I was without her in the house and scared. I am ready for a new family to give me a second opportunity. I am already spayed, microchipped and I have had my first vaccines. The vets say I am in very good health!
Our adoption process starts with your email to carerescue@aol.com or Adopt a Pet inquiry. After we receive it, we will email you our prescreening questionnaire. Your answers will help us determine that your home and lifestyle matches the needs of both Tawny and our adoption criteria. Once determined, we will set up a private meeting with you and your family to meet Tawny at a park near our private kennel just east of Richmond. After meeting her and determining that she matches your preferences for a pet, we will accept your application. A home visit by one of our trained volunteers is required for all adoptions, and we will speak with your vet to ensure that you are a responsible pet owner.
