Hi there, I am Roxy, and I'm a sweet and gentle gal with a lot of love to give! I am happy and joyful, and love spending time with adult humans! I'm a small girl, just under ten pounds, and I won't get much larger, so I need a home without larger pets and small children who may accidentally hurt me. I also need a securely fenced yard, and with owners who have experience with very small dogs and keeping them safe. I can't wait to find a family of my own to shower with love and wet kisses. My previous owner died and I was without her in the house and scared. I am ready for a new family to give me a second opportunity. I am already spayed, microchipped and I have had my first vaccines. The vets say I am in very good health!

Our adoption process starts with your email to carerescue@aol.com or Adopt a Pet inquiry. After we receive it, we will email you our prescreening questionnaire. Your answers will help us determine that your home and lifestyle matches the needs of both Roxy and our adoption criteria. Once determined, we will set up a private meeting with you and your family to meet Roxy at a park near our private kennel just east of Richmond. After meeting her and determining that she matches your preferences for a pet, we will accept your application. A home visit by one of our trained volunteers is required for all adoptions, and we will speak with your vet to ensure that you are a responsible pet owner.
