Aster is a tiny little guy that is just a typical little puppy. Another casualty of the puppy boom, Aster found himself "aging out" of the system when all of his siblings had been adopted & he was left behind. This is where we come in! We got you, Aster!

We like to remind applicants that a new puppy is a lot like a toddler. They need to be supervised, and the best way to do that is to have a dedicated space set up for them. This area will be a part of the home where they can see activity & observe, but it is a place that is puppy proofed. Where they can play, lounge, or nap when their family is not directly engaging with them. Playpens, 4-squares, or x-pens are excellent tools to make this possible. They are easily mobile if you want to move them around, too.

We are open to discussing an x-pen if you do not have a fenced yard. Aster is not leashed trained and will need secure containment immediately. If you have a fence, it needs to be completely secure & enclosed, no gaps. Please take note of how tiny he is & know that he will remain rather small. He won't be an outside dog, so a large yard is not something we are looking for. At any rate, NEVER EVER should a puppy be left in a yard without supervision. If you have interior stairs, please have a plan to keep your puppy off the stairs unsupervised. Additionally, please be aware of the stair railing & the distance between the spindles.

We are working on potty training. It is a process that will require commitment & patience, as puppies have a little puppy bladder. Remember, in a new home, a new environment means that new habits will have to be established.

Bringing home a new puppy is a huge responsibility that requires oodles of time! But it is very rewarding if everyone is invested. Please apply if you meet the requirements & would like to adopt a sweet reserved little puppy. Please don’t apply without speaking to your spouse/partner first.
