Max was born on a farm in upstate New York. We brought him home when he was nine weeks old. He is now four years old. It was challenging but we were able to completely house train him. He gets along great with our golden retriever but not with our cats. He is a great guardian of our home and family. Max is very playful and loves to play keep away with his toys.
We have two boys with autism and this is where we have trouble with Max. They don’t understand each other and he often corners them as if corralling or herding them. We’re worried that his behavior with the them is too much for the boys at times. We love Max but would like to rehome him before things get worse. He hasn’t harmed them but it makes us nervous because he is such a large dog. Hopefully we can find him a home where he can be cared for and loved.
