Max is a senior male dog with a heartwarming history. He is a 15 year old male Chihuahua Mix who weighs 7.7 lbs. He may be a senior dog with a stage 5 heart murmur, but he has lots of love left to give to his forever family. Max is a very affectionate dog who loves nothing more than to cuddle up on the couch with his favorite humans. He does well in a crate, but prefers a lap to cuddle in. He will be your very own cuddly teddy bear. On warm days, he enjoys being outside to sunbathe, sniff, and explore the yard. He still gets the occasional zoomies after eating a few bites of food. He has done great with other humans and dogs, but hasn't been exposed to children in his foster home.
Due to his age, he would do best in a home with older children who can be mindful of him. He's ready to find a home where he can live out his golden years. No dog is perfect, but Max comes pretty close. If you're willing to give this sweet senior a home, you will not regret it! He's a friendly, reserved, playful, and quiet. His minimum adoption fee is $195 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents.
He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
