My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Miss T, a lovable, one year old husky mix. A police officer rescued Miss T off the streets of Houston, TX as she was in bad shape. She spent some time at the county shelter and found herself on the euthanasia list due to overcrowding. She was rescued from the shelter the day she was supposed to be euthanized.

While she was found in bad shape, Miss T is now healthy and happy. She underwent heart worm treatment and gained much needed weight. She would love nothing more to have a person or family of her own.

Miss T loves to give kisses and has been dubbed “the kissing bandit." She loves laying on the couch. Her favorite activities include lounging with her people, going on walks and enjoying the sunshine. She is getting better about walking on a leash, but can get excited and pull.

She is very gentle and patient with children, including toddlers. Miss T is adorably clumsy, as she often misses the bed or couch when she tries to jump up.

Miss T is crate trained and very treat motivated. She knows basic commands and prefers to be an only pet in the home.

***MOST OF OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN TEXAS, BUT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION AND TRANSPORT OUT OF STATE. Read below for more information.

Our dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. As a Pep's Pals Rescue direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc).

Our adoption fee is $350 plus health certificate and transport (varies by location). This fee includes all current vaccinations, deworming, microchip (additional $12.99 registration fee required at time of adoption), fecal analysis, spay/neuter for dogs 6 months & older, and a heartworm test if over 6 months old. All dogs are current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. A health exam will be completed and a health certificate issued by a veterinarian within 10 days of transport.

More about this rescue

Pep's Pals Rescue is committed to rescuing shelter dogs and street dogs and finding them forever homes. All dogs deserve to live their lives showered with the love they deserve.
Pep's Pals is named after Pepper, a lab who gave so much love to the founder of Pep's Pals and her family. We carry on his legacy by loving and caring for the dogs who need to know what it is like to be a part of a family. Pepper was kind to every human and fur friend he met. We believe that's how Pepper would want us to carry out our mission.
