My story

My name is Dewey! I am a funloving, happy and playful guy that loves running, playing and snuggling! My rescue mom was worried about me, because I was a very high kill shelter, and my prior owner never really cared much about my happiness. I was really sad at the shelter. Sometimes I wonder if no one picked me to take home, because awhile ago I broke my leg and my prior owner left it broken for too long. To be honest, my leg does not hurt, and I run just as fast as all the others in my foster home, and I jump super high too! Some people think I look different, but why be the same as everyone else- Why not be different? My leg does not affect me at all. It is just the humans that think I am different. My leg is still on me, just in the wrong position. I promise, you wont care after you meet me- I love cuddles, loving my humans, and playing. I love playing and running around with other dogs also!

More about this rescue

We named our rescue after my beloved Golden Retriever that passed away from Cancer at too young of an age. I had fostered for years, and Sandy was the ambassador and helper for all the animals that entered our home scared, confused and frightened. We are a team of animal lovers, dedicated to saving lives of animals that have been neglected, dumped and abandoned in high kill shelters.
This rescue strives to find the best homes, and also offer assistance even after the adoption.
