Bingo decided to send some information about himself along with his foster mom’s information. Bingo says he has “sheltie-tude,”so he does bark sometimes but only when he really thinks you need to be aware of something. He’s also smart enough to let his foster mom think she’s in charge, but he says he’s really the one. Both he and his foster mom say that the first thing everyone notices is how “cute and sweet” he is, and then they fall in love with him. Bingo loves exploring when he is on walks in their neighborhood and wants to greet the other dogs and people during chance meetings, although he’s a bit reserved at first. Other faves of Bingo’s are getting brushed, tummy scratches and lying in a sun puddle on their deck.

Bingo rides very well in the car, after you help him up into it. He is house trained and has never needed to be crated. Bingo wants to be the center of attention, but also stated he’d like to have a doggy sibling with whom to pal around, too. Bingo’s foster mom says he happily follows her and wants to be with her all the time. Bingo wants to learn and is food motivated. He already knows several basic commands.  Speaking of food, he is carrying some extra weight, but the walks he loves and a proper diet will help with that. Bingo is ready to have someone call “Bingo!” as they realize their search is complete and they are his forever family.

Bingo is 4 yrs old and his adoption fee is $350.00

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs please go directly to www.almosthomeohio.org for an application. Once the application is submitted, our adoption team can discuss the information on the application with you to determine if one of our dogs would be a good fit for your home. Lastly, a home visit will be done either by one of our volunteers or another reputable rescue volunteer in your area. We do adopt out of state, but it is up to the adopter to come meet and take the dog home. Sound like a lot to go through for a dog? It really isn't as complicated as it seems and it's the best way to ensure a good match. Please contact adoptions@almosthomeohio.org with any additional questions you may have after reviewing the information on our website.

More about this rescue

Almost Home Dog Rescue of Ohio is made up of a small (but growing) group of enthusiastic volunteers who want to make a difference in the lives of homeless dogs. Our background is with purebred collies and collie mixes but on occasion, we have other "family friendly" breeds. If you are searching for a collie, we'd like to help you find a wonderful companion that fits your family's lifestyle. All of our dogs are fully vaccinated and are spayed/neutered prior to adoption. They have also been tested and are negative for heartworm and are on heartworm preventative.
