My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

As cute as a button with the floppiest ears, pups really don't get much cuter than this. Meet Squirrel - a nervous pup who came to us from Texas on the hunt for a home to call his own. Not much is known about this man, but he appreciates people who can go slowly and give him lots of time to warm up. Tasty food is the easiest way to help boost his confidence (he loves chicken), but this little man definitely will need an experienced owner who can help him build his confidence. For the right owner, in a quiet home, with experience with nervous dogs, Squirrel will have an opportunity to blossom into a sweet, lovable chi. Right now, he needs time, patience, chicken, cozy beds to curl up in, and a owner ready to commit to the love and care this little man needs.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Adoptable animals are located at our Taft Campus at 2200 N Taft Hill Rd, Fort Collins, CO 80524 or for more info call 970-484-8516.

The first step to adopting a cat or dog from Animal Friends Alliance is to fill out an adoption questionnaire. You can do this online!

The next step is to pick out a cat or dog! Check out our adoptable cats and adoptable dogs for pictures and short descriptions or come into the shelter at our Taft Hill campus. We also have adoptable cats at many offsite locations.

Note: not all available cats and dogs reside at our campuses. Some are at off-site adoption partners or in foster homes. If you are interested in a particular cat or dog, please call our shelter at (970) 484-8516 to find out about their current status and location.

We do not ship animals. You are required to come and meet your new addition prior to adoption so that we can ensure a good match.
