My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Ashley and I'm at the Santa Maria Campus. I am a 16 year old, female, Chihuahua Mix who is looking for a nice retirement home.

I am aged to perfection and I would love nothing more than to be your cuddle buddy. My favorite past time is sun-bathing on a comfy blanket and snuggling in the blankets with my people. You can obviously tell my favorite things in the world are blankets and being comfortable. I grew up around children of all ages and I did very well with them. I am a super senior who would love a chance to be your trusty little shadow.

My ideal home would be one with low traffic so I can enjoy my laid- back lifestyle. However, as much as I love to lounge around, I still get excited when someone says "Let's go for a walk."

Interested in meeting me? Adoption Centers are open daily 12-4:30pm, closed Wednesdays. Adoptions are on a first-come first served basis. For more information please email Adopt@SBHumane.org or call 805-964-4777.

When I am adopted, I will have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. My adopters will receive a certificate for a free veterinary exam and our partners at Purina will provide a supply of food for my first few days at home.

Our adoption fees help support our community programs and the next animal who needs our help!
